Erik Lundstrom, president of UA's Young Democrats, said Obama's reelection was a huge weight off our shoulders. He was amazed to have heard the results so early in the night, considering four years ago we didn't get a final response until about 11 p.m. "I was also a little bit worried because the polls this year were a lot closer than the last election," Lundstrom said.

Lundstrom started his political crusade back in January. He, and other young democrats, would walk around campus and inform UA students about why it was so important for them to vote in this election. Lundstrom, first handedly registered many of his UA peers to vote. Now, he is excited to have been one of the many people who contributed to Obama's win tonight. "It was very encouraging to see so many young people get involved," Lundstrom said. "It was a lot of hard work. A lot of knocking on doors, and a lot of phone calls, but the results paid off."
