Another Tucson Food Swap Is Upon Us

Posted By on Wed, Sep 12, 2012 at 9:00 AM

Food Swap Tucson, a regular event that encourages people to trade homemade food once a month or so, is getting ready to hold another get-together. From the group's blog:

After a Food Swap we take home many delicious goodies that add interest to a whole week's worth of meals, so we figured that Monday might actually be a great day to hold a swap. Start your week off right and add some excitement to your weeknight meals by joining us Monday, September 24th from 5:45-7:30 in the evening. The swap location will be centrally located, as always, you will receive an e-mail reminder with location information by mid-week before the swap. If this is your first Food Swap make sure to check out the FAQ page of our website for more info.

You can find the group's website here or you can sign up for this month's event here.

These events are genius. Tucson is full of people doing interesting things with food and this gives them an opportunity to network and share the fruits (and quail eggs, canned goods, baked goods and other things) of their labors. Here's hoping this event grows and grows and that we see more of this sort of thing around Southern Arizona as time goes by.
