Best Public Garden

Tohono Chul Park

It's nice to recognize all of Tucson's "bests"—and how our bests really are the best. But, really, do you live here because of the Best Bagels or the Best Sports Bar or the Best Pop-Music Station? No. You live here because of the unique, gorgeous Sonoran Desert and the pleasant, sunny outdoor experience that it has to offer. Unfortunately, if you live in the city, you can't always get out to the desert proper to view our local flora and fauna—so head to Tohono Chul, which is actually one of the best public gardens in the country (in our humble opinion). It has thousands of amazing plants and a nice network of trails, all set up to attract cool desert creatures, from butterflies to bobcats.
