Yes, the Tucson Weekly takes shots at the Star on a fairly frequent basis. It's nothing personal against the folks at Tucson Newspapers, Inc.; it's our job, as an alternative to the mainstream, to cover the center-ring media. If we don't, nobody else will. In any case, the Star does have some good things going for it, which our readers recognize. The sports coverage--especially Greg Hansen's work, which kicks major ass--is often quite good. The wonderful Aspen Fire showed that the morning daily folks can do amazing things when motivated to do so. Plus, we love "Get Fuzzy." We wish our pets could talk like that.
