Best Place to Pick Up a Great Dinner

Rincon Market

The proverbial question "What's for dinner?" is easily answered at this longtime Tucson market. Yes, it's a hip neighborhood grocery store, but the deli side has enough choices to keep everyone in the house happy at dinner (or lunch or breakfast, for that matter). The salad bar alone is spectacular—the bean salad tops any other in town. The roasted chickens also are perfect for a quick-pickup meal. Nicely seasoned and slow-cooked, they are juicy and cooked to the bone. In the display case, the green-corn tamales are as good as any found at Mexican joints, and the lasagna can give your local trattoria a run for its money. For dessert? Some days, there are two or three brownie choices alone.
