READERS' PICK: Mama Mia, does Gavi do Italian! Let's start with its huge selection: it could take an hour just to read through the menu. Next, we're talking tremendous portions...with heavenly sauces...all in a casual restaurant with open café seating and sports' jerseys on the ceiling. In addition to the formidable array of pasta dishes, Gavi faithfully renders veal, shrimp, chicken and pork specialties. It's fine dining in a casual setting. Go early, as Gavi doesn't take reservations, and the secret is definitely out on this Tucson favorite.
