You're hot, broke and have an antsy 1-year-old. What to do? Head over to 17th Street for a field trip. First, take a tour of the positively chilly produce room. Once everyone's cooled off, peruse the aisles of bright, exotic canned goods and drinks. A bottle of basil-seed juice makes a great little lava lamp, and the cartoon characters on the southeast Asian cookie boxes elicit giggles every time. The fish market serves as an interesting, if gruesome, aquarium of sorts. And the music section will get little legs bouncing to the beat and happy hands reaching for the wee orange ukuleles.
