Best Fishin' Fix

Tucson's Urban Lakes

If you are a true angler, there is nothing quite like that tug-tug on the line to send a charge racing through you, but desert dwelling fisher folk can feel deprived. But behold! In our desert valley there are a variety of opportunities to dip your hook. Silverbell, Lakeside and Kennedy Lakes are located in different areas of town, so you never have to drive far, and now there's a lake in Sahuarita. And you can fish all year. Because of regular trout stocking, fishing in the chilly winter is pretty perfect, while summertime fishing is best enjoyed during evening hours, where big ol' catfish can be lurking in the deep. A city license is required even though you might have already sprung for a state one. But, hey, it's totally worth it for a chance to feel that tug.
