The Tucson Live Music Space is barely a year old, but it's an example of how the kids are looking pretty alright. One of the only all-ages venues left in town, TLMS is described by main man Billy Brooks as not a "co-op, just kind of a loose organization." Brooks is helped by volunteers in a converted garage on West Ventura Street with sound, booking and refreshments. TLMS has a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy, and provides a safe and welcoming environment for musicians and fans from 14 to 40 and beyond. Vehemently independent, the Tucson Live Music Space is a business model that needs no improvement.
