B-Sides: SwedeFest

How Swede it is

Regular Tucson Weekly readers know that music guru and regular TW contributor Eric Swedlund has some pretty stellar taste in bands. That's why you'd be absolutely silly to not get your buns out of the house to go check out the seventh iteration of his music fest event: SwedeFest. The bigger and better than ever line-up for this year is a handpicked selection of some of the coolest up-and-coming local acts that Tucson has to offer, which should help you stay in the loop with the ever expanding music scene in town.

This year the event will span two days and two venues. On Saturday, May 2, The Jons, The Electric Blankets and Dos Muñoz will take over The Flycatcher, located at 340 E. Sixth St. beginning at 9 p.m. Then, on Sunday, May 3 at 7 p.m., The Pangs, Big Meridox, Dirty P & The Thunderchiefs, Underbutt & The Sideboobs, The Baguettes and Good Little Thieves will play across Fourth Avenue at Surly Wench Pub. Both events are free to attend, so, you know, go.
