A band after my own heart, New Mexico's Litter Brain offers up punk 'tude from a group of rad chicks, served up fast and loud on their recent release with a delightfully terse title Nope. The band, which features members of Arroyo Deathmatch, carries that sense of humor throughout the album with tunes like "You Can Get Mimosas Now," "Toilet Phone" and "Loan Groan." Give it a few listens and you'll be all "yep" about heading to Gary's Place (125 W. Ventura St.) on Wednesday, Aug. 3 when the band plays live. Hosted by Tucson's Diet Pop Records, the show will feature local support from Human Behavior, Big Bad and Sunfucked. Music starts at 8 p.m. with a suggest donation of $6 at the door. It is an all ages event.
