    Re: “City Week
Lately, when I read the Weekly, I ask myself, where is this paper being written? There's so much happening in Tucson that you plain ignore. There's a film festival that's been going on this week , which, as far as I know, you never once mentioned. You know there are filmmakers in Tucson, right?. The kind of film reviews I see in the Tucson Weekly, with all due respect to the writers, I can read those kind those kind reviews in the NY Times or LA Times, or the New Yorker, etc. I like to read different perspectives, but you don't find people at a local publication who can write about film as well as, for just one example, Mahnola Dargis. I'm at loss as to understanding the non-local nature of so much of your content.

Republican=hypocrite . Enough said. Except, get out and vote this unelected cretin governor out, so we can be somewhat proud of our state again. And tell "Flipper" Jesse not to quit his day job with his daddy's stimulus funded construction company. If I was Giffords, I'd buy the rights to morph Jesse's head onto Linda Blair's body in an "Exorcist" clip, and show his head spinning, and the peas soup dripping down his chin, as he reneges on every insane campaign position he took to please the one-toothed tea party yahoos.

Corman may have been a tad crass, but the people who made this trash are soulless Hollywood scum. Scoring Dreyfuss is a big deal? He's begging for work. The only roles he can get are in Lifetime TV movies. Quick, name me the last A movie was in?

Mr Williams, Bruce Ash is not running 2nd Saturdays, and the dedicated volunteres who are, are mostly far at the other end of the political spectrum. But it can't be chaos, so one need to go through a procedure to be part of the activities. I've seen no one stopped from circulating petitions or handing out literature. But you can't expect to not help underwrite the significant costs of this effort and still set up some booth to profit from it. That's part of what ruined Downtown Saturday Night. People who felt it is their right to profit from the efforts of others and share none of the costs.

Mr Smith, papers please. I want to be sure your ancestors came into the US legally, because, as a staunch supporter of rule of LAW, I think we shouldn't stop with these innocent babies, but deport all who cannot prove their great grandparents didn't slip in under false names, leave behind criminal records in another country, or slip over the Canadian border. So unless you're Native American and your ancestors walked across the Bering Strait land bridge, Mr. Smith, please get out the country, now, you certified yahoo.

With the money Palin is raking in from her book sales and on the speaking circuit, plus an eventual Fox TV or syndicated talk show, why would she want to take a pay cut and run for an office she can't step down from when another opportunity to make more millions comes her way? Obviously, I'm on the other side, but I have to give Hayworth credit for not offering gushing, unqualified praise of Palin. I disagree with his assessment of her, as to me she was always just small time opportunist who hit the jackpot because McCain was senile enough to let her be selected as his running mate. I am hoping J.D. beats Patton, as Giffords will roll over Hayworth like a steamroller on RTA road-widening project. He's this year's model of Randy Graf

Papers like columnists who generate strong reactions, as long as they are not too strong. You point could be used to defend any writer no matter how stupid or ignorant he or she is. On the rare occasions that I forget how worthless Mr. Danehy's commentaries are, and read one, it does "make me think." It makes me think , "Now why did I waste my time reading that fool's pointless blathering?"
