I'm an army brat and I spent 4 years in Iran so for me this place is comfort food. I haven't found a place in Tucson that does Iranian food well. There is nothing quite like their spices like sumak or saffron infused rice and the various kabob dishes. I was taking a trip down memory lane here. The owner was very friendly with us and the waitress was on top of everything. I don't get the negative reviews above. I found the meal great and the portions were huge.

Sushi on Oracle is hands down the best Sushi in town. Always fresh and clean. Also Ikkyu is the best fast food sushi and Japanese eatery.
Check out Zayna's Mediterranean on east speedway. Very good food, try the Zayna fries. Great prices.
NO WAY SUSHI ON ORACLE IS THE BEST AND CLEANEST.
What I don't get is that the music industry has far more racier lyrics and activity than this bit of writing. I heard Robin Thick singing the following: "I have big dick for ya." you know you want it" Today. I was a bit surprised that he said that.. but after what he did with Miley C, I guess anything goes on the music stage. Why do books go under such scrutiny while Hollywood and music get away with porn in song and video????
I remember pre grille Congress. I was shocked to see the view laid out in front of me as I trekked down 4th avenue yesterday. Suddenly there is this very stark structure that has a prison like feel sticking up above the underpass. It has no real artistic architecture... just lines of windows on white. It's a shame we didn't really restore the buildings of the past. Instead we succumbed to the progress seeking soul suckers who say that over used misnomer "Progress" as though it's something that has to happen. They say to hell with anyone else who wants to be avant guarde or maintain some semblance of the Tucson soul. I agree the more recent incarnation of the grille was really funky and was going down fast.... but please maintain some of the charm and decor of Tucson's past. We don't have to be so freaking trendy and conformist for god sake and for arts sake. I say we allow for the uniqueness of the old beauty to show up just as much as this bland stark californicated style, that pushes it's way in with pomp lacking circumstance. Shitty is in the mind of the beholder.
You missed this one by a long shot... the best sushi in town is Sushi On Oracle. fair prices and always fresh sushi. The service is great too. check it out.
I would like to see Tucson retro remain rather than metro gain.
