It's a disgrace to our community that these notorious dog abusers are still allowed to operate here.

    Re: “Pot and POTUS
What other kind of medication are people expected to grow or manufacture on their own? MMJ should be available at every Walgreens or CVS, and until it is, those patients that need it are being unfairly singled out and discriminated against. By supporting these crackdowns, Obama is serving the interests that created and have sustained this mindbogglingly stupid prohibition, rather than the people of America, who are in favor of legalization, and the patients who rely on MMJ, who deserve all the help they can get to treat whatever medical conditions they may have. Prohibition is a waste of tax dollars and a human tragedy. Shame on Obama for supporting it.

Any scenario involving Brewer and Horne being smart and/or compassionate can be classified as science fiction. On the other hand, it is good to consider the inadvertent positive effects of their actions, no matter how stupid and/or evil their true motivations may have been.

There is no question that zoos are bad places for elephants, and that these captive elephants are the victims of human cruelty fueled by greed. These elephants belong in a sanctuary together - that is the only truly moral ending to this story. Unfortunately the Tucson City Council and the zoo administration care more about money than they do about doing the right thing.

I would like to see a moratorium on dogfighting analogies from politicians.
