Food Truck Diaries, Volume 34: Robdogs, Hotdogs and More

I frequent a lot of the drinking establishments and there's always one place where I can get my drunk food fix: Rob Dogs.

You might have seen this giant pink food drunk parked at the Creative Village parking lot alongside Bumsteds Diner. Eating at Robdogs has become a routine since I started performing stand up on Wednesday nights at Mr. Head's. I came to realization during one of my fourth avenue walks with Izzy that I have never had a Robdog meal sober. She said that they don't taste the same without all the alcohol in your system. We experimented this theory and found that it's still good while not under the influence.

I suggest the Sonoran dog or the tofu dog with all the fixings. I can drink their green chili sauce straight out of the condiment container. There's a dog for anyone on their menu. Not only is the food good but the staff is accommodating, but you can't argue their prices. I can honestly say they have the best pound for pound deal when it comes to late night food truck comida.

Got a favorite food truck? Send me suggestions at hbarajas@tucsonweekly.com and I'll check it out.
