DJ BC is yet another one of those guys out there who's becoming famous for his abilities in smashing together two relatively disparate songs and coming up with something wonderful — not unlike Danger Mouse (the man behind the Jay-Z/Beatles mashup, The Grey Album, Gnarls Barkley and Broken Bells), actually.
BC, however, has been sticking to his wheelhouse in putting together his second mixtape of music from the Beastles, entitled Ill Submarine.
The tune below is the title track of that mixtape, featuring a sonic collision between the classic Ringo Starr vocal showcase "Yellow Submarine" and the Beastie Boys's "Alive," off of their 1999 compilation album Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science
The rest of the mixtape is set to drop this month, if Apple Records doesn't crush it out of existence.
