Whether you’re recovering from Valentine’s Day (read: hungover and wallowing in self pity) or gearing up for #FridayThe15th, Bookmans on Ina, at 3733 W. Ina Rd, is the place to be from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow if you’re in the mood to eat your feelings.

Plenty of both sweet and savory will be on hand, with cake pops (Pin-Up Pastries) to pies (Street Delights) to burgers (Serial Grillers) to pizza (Hellfire Pizza Co.) all making their way straight off the trucks and onto your plate - or your hands, because who’s judging? Jamie’s Bitchen Kitchen will also be on-hand in the lot with their Caribbean-infused Southwest fare, along with several other trucks.

Of course, you can always count on Bookmans to give a food truck event more context than just stuffing your face: there will be a “Science of Food” demonstration on how to make fresh, homemade ice cream. It might be that final push into a blissful sugar coma, but making ice cream is no simple (or speedy) feat, so make sure to dress accordingly as temperatures dip into the low 40’s.

The next scheduled Food Truck Friday will be March 1 at the Grant location, 1930 E. Grant Rd., also from 6 to 9 p.m. A silent film (to be announced) will screen in the parking lot during the event, so everyone can get a little culture on the side of that Kalifornia Cheesesteak monstrosity, pictured above.
