If You've Got a Senstive Diet, You Can Still Find a Romantic Valentine's Dinner

If you've got food allergies (or even if you're just dedicated to healthy eating), celebrations like Valentine's Day can be tricky. But a local restaurant is making sure those sensitive types can still got out for a romantic dinner out on Feb. 14.

Renee’s Organic Oven, 7065 E Tanque Verde Road, has created a special meal of gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and/or vegan options to conform to a wide spectrum of dining restrictions. Here is the menu Renee sent me:

First: You may each select one that you will enjoy

Avocado Salad: Organic Greens, fresh avocado, chives, lemon, cashews, olive oil and red wine vinegar, sea salt and fresh cracked pepper.

Or

Caesar Salad: Crisp Romaine Spears, Parmesan, Homemade Caesar & Gluten Free Croutons

Second: You may each select one that you will enjoy

Marinara Melt: Artichokes, spinach, red peppers, red onions, basil + garlic sautéed in organic marinara. Topped with mozzarella & baked. Gluten Free and vegetarian. (Easily made vegan)

Vegan Roasted Vegetable Pizza Or Vegan Cashew Thai Curry Pizza 
(gluten free pizza available)

Sweet Potato & Zucchini Bake: Vegetables layered with roasted peppers, caramelized onions, cilantro, roasted garlic, mozzarella, green chili cream, and a touch of marinara. Gluten free and vegetarian

Third: Choose 1 to share

Chocolate Cake, Perfectly simple and delicious
Flourless Chocolate Cake, Gluten Free and served with berries
Vegan Chocolate and Cream, yes it is vegan and gluten free
Dark Chocolate covered Strawberries
