The Tucson Padres launched a new homestand a big 13-0 win over the Nashville Sounds last night.

The Padres are in town every night through next Thursday, May 23. Why not get out to a game this weekend? Cops and firefighters get in free tonight, the club is giving away camouflage T-shirts tomorrow night and you can bring your dog to the ballpark on Sunday. You'll find ticket info here and a full list of the promotions over the next week here.

Here's a breakdown of last night's game from the Padres' Tim Hagerty:

The Tucson Padres beat the Nashville Sounds 13-0 Thursday, completing their second shutout of the season. The win was also the biggest margin of victory for Tucson this year. Matt Clark went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and Logan Forsythe was 2-for-4 with a home run, triple and three RBIs. Jedd Gyorko went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in his Triple-A debut. Nashville had multiple opportunities to get back in the game but could never capitalize, leaving nine runners on base.

The Padres sent nine batters to the plate in the third inning, scoring five times to match a season high for runs in an inning. Seven Padres had a multi-hit game and every position player reached base at least once. Cory Burns and Erik Hamren combined for five strikeouts and two scoreless innings to close the game.

Tucson had six extra-base hits Thursday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the 13-27 Padres. Longtime Major Leaguer Kip Wells makes his Tucson Padres debut Friday.
