Here's the Big List of Thanksgiving Meals Tucson Originals Sends Every Year



This is by no means an exhaustive list of good things to eat in Tucson around Thanksgiving time, but it is a good jumping-off point. All of the restaurants on the list belong to Tucson Originals, the alliance of local and independently owned restaurants that sends this out every year.

Must pre-order by November 20th and all orders must be picked up on Wednesday November 23rd. All items that require reheating will be in reheatable containers.

Holiday Feast (serves 10-12) $65: Balsamic Pasta Salad, Rosemary Corn Bread Stuffing, Buttered Sweet Potatoes Topped with Marshmallows, Green Beans with Pearl Onions and Almonds, Fresh Orange Cranberry Relish, Made from Scratch Gravy, Fresh Rolls and Brownie Swirl Bread pudding.

Smoked “Tur-Duck-Hen” (serves 10-14) $120 whole, $65 half:

A slow smoked deboned turkey stuffed with a deboned duck, stuffed with a deboned chicken stuffed with sausage corn bread stuffing.

Smoked Turkey (serves 8) $50:

Slow smoked whole turkey, seasoned with fresh rosemary, thyme, sage and kosher salt.

In honor of Thanksgiving, Bushi will be offering a special pan seared oven roasted duck with plum wine and candied ginger reduction sauce, sautéed yams and spinach with apricots and onions seasoned with cumin, paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper, all topped with toasted walnuts, $22. This special will be offered the week of November 20th. Bushi will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

The Cup Café will be open and serving their regular menu with some additional Thanksgiving specials available from 11am-8pm. Specials include: Slow Roasted Turkey with giblet gravy, herb mashed potatoes, sage dressing and sautéed root vegetables and roasted Acorn Squash filled with swiss chard and parmesan risotto topped with pomegranate and toasted pumpkin seeds. Prices range from $6.50-$21.

Dakota Café is closed on Thanksgiving Day, starting on November 20th, they will offer a special Fall meal: Beef Stroganoff with a Caesar Salad for $17.99. Dakota Café is also offering Thanksgiving pick up orders and catering, call for more details.

Feast will be closed on Thanksgiving day, but offering a giant take-out menu with family style thanksgiving treats. Menu items include: fennel and sausage stuffing, Winter Squash Stew and Five-Spice Cranberry Sauce, go to for the menu. Prices range from $3.74 - $11 per item (some per pound). Place your order by Sunday, November 20th and they will have your dinner waiting, with reheating instructions on Wednesday the 23rd. Just heat it up, relax and enjoy your day without spending it all in the kitchen.

Frankie’s will be closed on Thanksgiving, but the Friday after they are having a “Tucson Originals Black Friday”. Mention the Tucson Originals on November 25th and receive a free small fry or drink all day.

In honor of the holidays, Risky Business will be selling whole cheesecakes for carry-out in a variety of holiday flavors such as: Pumpkin, Cranberry, Plain, Brownie, and Chocolate Raspberry. All Cheesecakes are $29.00. A minimum of two days' notice is required on all orders.
