Meet Gus Coliadis and his incredible bike-powered popsicle stand Cyclopsicle. Today was his first day sellling various flavors of frozen treats on the corner of Congress Street and Scott Avenue, which will be his permanent location for the next year or so.

As I write this my lips are still warm from one of the mango popsicles covered in chipotle-spiked chocolate. It was a tough choice being that banana-peanut-butter, coconut-lemongrass-ginger and salted-chocolate-with-pretzels pops were also on the menu.

Cordialis is originally from Chicago, where he worked as a florist before moving to Tucson with his girlfriend. He says frozen ice pops are "a good vehicle for delivering a wide variety of flavors and ideas." He says he got the inspiration for his new stand from places like Locopops in North Carolina.

A cyclopsicle sells for $2.50 to $3. You can keep up with Cyclopsicle and the fantastic popsicles it peddles over here.

Mango, chocolate and chipotle? Yes, please.

(BTW: I do realize this is not a food truck, but starting a new series called the Food Bike Diaries seemed ridiculous. Bon appetit!)
