City Hall Brawl: Rothschild Snags Police Union Endorsement

The Tucson Police Officers Association has endorsed Democrat Jonathan Rothschild in the race for Tucson's mayor. The press release from the Rothschild campaign:


Democratic candidate for Mayor of Tucson Jonathan Rothschild has won the endorsement of the Tucson Police Officers Association.

“I am honored to have the support of local law enforcement professionals. Tucson’s cops do great work for our community, and under my watch, I am determined that they will have the tools and information they need to keep us safe,” said Rothschild.

“The Tucson Police Officers Association is proud to partner with a candidate like Jonathan Rothschild, who understands that public safety is the number one responsibility of local government,” said John Strader, President of TPOA.

A business attorney, Rothschild has a 30-year career helping Arizona small businesses start up and grow. He has been a community leader, looking out for children and the elderly as President of both Casa de los Niños and Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging, as well as serving in many other respected local charities and organizations.

Rothschild faces Republican Rick Grinnell and Green Party candidate Mary DeCamp in the Nov. 8 general election.
