While I was a Ryan Adams fanatic following his album Heartbreaker, grabbing bootlegs, b-sides, and whatever else I could get my hands on, over time, the pace of his career (I might be wrong, but I think Adams recently covered the first Vampire Weekend in its entirety as a series of YouTube videos recently) has been somewhat difficult to keep up with. Still, I've generally enjoyed everything I heard by the guy, even if it hasn't quite made me feel the same way Heartbreaker or the Whiskeytown catalog did.
Maybe I'm just feeling sentimental and optimistic, but based on "Lucky Now", the first single from what might be his thirteenth (?!?) studio album, Ashes & Fire, I might have to start getting obsessive again. I really, really like this song, so maybe you will too.
