It feels a little unfair to pick on Rebecca Black at this point. After all, she was briefly the laughing stock of the Internet after the video for "Friday" became a meme, and she's just a kid who wants to be a professional singer. There's nothing really wrong with having a dream and taking the opportunities that life presents.

However, the lyrics for her new single include these poetic gems:

Haters, I'll see you later
I can't talk to you right now
I'm getting my paper
I'm doing big things, things you've never dreamed of
I hope you're happy, because I'm about to blow up

Seriously? You had one heavily Autotuned song that your parents bought for you and now you're talking about "getting paper". I recognize Black didn't likely write "My Moment", but at some point, it helps to have some sense where you exist in the pop culture universe and "briefly ironic superstar singing sub-Radio Disney quality teen pop" falls somewhat below being about to brag about your wealth and casting off "haters".
