With Ward 2 Councilwoman Carol West retiring this year, there's an open seat on the Tucson City Council. Just before Christmas, Democrat Rodney Glassman became the first potential candidate to pull a campaign packet from the City Clerk's Office. Glassman, who has worked as an aide to Congressman Raul Grijalva, hasn't committed to running, but he's certainly got a blazing fire in his belly.
Democrat Lianda Ludwig, a leftie who ran against West four years ago, has told The Skinny that's she also considering a run. Other insiders keep dropping the name of Democrat Clarence Boykins, who ran unsuccessfully for the Arizona House of Representatives in 2006.
More in next week's Skinny!
